In 2015, I was invited to apply to NoCo United for Youth to contribute to our community and represent Woodward. It has been a life-changing experience for me. Partnering and raising funds for our remarkable youth charities in Northern Colorado has been incredibly rewarding. I've witnessed the dedication and care within our community firsthand. Raising funds alongside a group of passionate individuals and giving grants ranging from $3,000 to $100,000 has been a humbling and gratifying experience. Additionally, I've forged strong friendships with young leaders in our community and developed a lifelong passion for philanthropic work. Unify has spurred significant personal growth which has bled into my career, for which I am profoundly grateful.

It has been an honor to be a part of United for Youth since 2013. We have had a tremendous impact on the community through our events, financial donations and member development. I am proud to continue my efforts with the group and help usher in the next generation of leaders in our community that will be responsible for the future success of the group and will undoubtedly take the organization to new heights. Being a part of Unify has opened my eyes to how fortunate many of us are and how much need there is even in a desirable community like Northern Colorado. There's something priceless about knowing that our efforts are directly benefiting the local youth and creating positive change in the community. I had witnessed the incredible impact of this group in supporting underprivileged youth in Northern Colorado and felt compelled to get involved at a deeper level. Serving alongside a dedicated group of young professionals has been one of the most rewarding and fun experiences of my life. Together, we raise funds in extraordinary ways for organizations that provide critical resources and opportunities to children who need them most. I first became acquainted with Northern Colorado Unified for Youth as a sponsor in 2016. It was clear to me that the organization put on great events; at that time the signature events were The Down and Derby and The Suitcase Party. As I dug into it deeper, I was able to see the tremendous financial impact the organization was making for northern Colorado youth-based non-profits. In 2020 I joined the organization as a Member. I thought that in joining the organization I would be able to make a big impact, but in truth, I have been the one that gained! The richness in relationships made will last a lifetime. I am beyond grateful for the impact that Northern Colorado for Youth has made on my life and in the communities we support!

Becoming a part of NOCO Unify isn’t an obligation it’s an incredible opportunity to make a difference for kids right here in our neighborhood. I have two young sons at home, and the idea of them going through the abuse, food insecurity, and home instability that some kids in our area experience is heartbreaking. Having this realization helped me understand how much it would mean to me to have a community that could help. I immediately felt inspired to step up and find a way to make a difference. When I was invited to apply for Northern Colorado United for Youth in 2022 I jumped at the chance, and it has been one of the defining experiences of my life so far. Witnessing and being a small part of the immense difference this organization has made for kids in our area has been such a gift. All kids deserve to have someone in their corner, and I'm thankful to be part of a group of dedicated men that are willing to step up to the plate.

I joined NOCO Unify in 2019 because I have a deep passion for empowering youth in our community. Since becoming a father of two boys, I have an even greater appreciation for the amazing work Unify does to improve the lives of youth who really need our help. Joining NoCO Unify has been a blessing in my life. My first introduction to this group was attending the Down & Derby party in 2018. After seeing the impact of this event, and the comraderie of the gentlemen running it, I knew this was an organization I would love to be a part of. I joined NoCo Unify the following year in 2019 and our monthly meetings and annual events have grown to be the favorite part of my schedule. His companies transform antique pocket watches into modern wristwatches and produce American-made mechanical watches at scale. But his vision goes beyond watches—he’s building Vortic, Inc. to be the backbone of American watch manufacturing. Through his American Dreamers YouTube channel, R.T. shares his journey and interviews entrepreneurs who believe in making things here—not there. When he’s not running his companies, R.T. is a devoted partner to his wife Lindsay, father to his two sons, Sawyer and Wesley, and an advocate for small business owners and entrepreneurs who dare to take the road less traveled. He’s on a mission to show his sons exactly what his dad told him: “you can do anything you put your mind to.”

I joined NoCo Unify not only as an advocate for at-risk youth but as a member of this community who has grown up here. My deep roots in Northern Colorado have profoundly shaped my understanding of our local needs and the impact that targeted support can have on our youth. Being part of this community from childhood to fatherhood has heightened my awareness of the challenges that many young people face here. As a father, I see the immense value in providing a supportive environment for all children, much like the one I was fortunate to grow up in. My involvement in NoCo Unify is a full-circle moment—giving back to the place that gave me so much. I've lived in Fort Collins since I was 18. over the years I'd been to a couple of NoCo Unify events. However it wasn't until having our first child that I felt the need to do more. Now with 3 children I see everyday how tough it can be to make ends meet. It is important to me that us as a family do our best to give back to those in need. Unify has been the perfect place for me to do this. Being a part of a group that has one singlular mindset is wonderful. We have fun, we throw great parties, but in the end it's all about one goal. We're here to raise as much money for the youth in northern Colorado as we can.

Ron Weinberg is currently a member of the Colorado House of Representatives, representing House District 51. Ron is founder and owner of 365 IT, LLC, an information technology consulting services company in Loveland. He also served for 3 years as Chairman of the Loveland Planning Commission. Weinberg is Vice President of Sertoma (Service To Mankind) in Loveland. In 2021, he was on the Board of Directors of the Loveland Rotary Club. Weinberg was head coach for D1A rugby and was named the Coach/Academic Advisor Of The Year in 2017-18 for Colorado State University

I had always heard about the organization through personal/professional avenues and had even attended some of the events in the past. This organization is known throughout Northern Colorado as one of the premier groups for fundraising for children in need. The amount of support and attendance to these events just goes to show how Northern Colorado can rally around a great cause; and this is a great cause.
